About Me
Hello! I am a recent graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations. I have always been fascinated by communications and social media. Human interaction is a part of every day life and watching it happen online has always appealed to me.
I started my career journey with a hospitality internship in Reservations at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. I held this position for just over a year before I accepted my first Public Relations internship.
In Fall 2016, I became the PR Inter for Adult Swim at Turner. I loved working in entertainment PR – connecting directly with press, compiling social media response to the brand, and creating e-blasts for pr releases. I also had the pleasure of helping the PR team get set up for New York Comic Con by organizing pr events and attendance lists.
In summer 2017 I became a student assistant on-campus at Georgia State University. I worked in the Building Services department under the office administrator. My position was integral to the hiring process of the department. I scanned applications for key components, created files for job interviews and created portfolios for new hires. In addition, I carried out standard receptionist duties whenever the main secretary was absent or away from the front desk.
I left this position to head to my most recent program in Walt Disney World. I accepted a position in the Disney College Program in Merchandise. Every day I worked in the Walt Disney World parks’ gift shops and merchandise carts. I helped guests find treasures to remind them of their trips and magical memories. I also provided assistance and expertise regarding other Disney property questions. These included resort, ride, technology, and food and beverage questions.
Now, I am back in Atlanta, Georgia, looking for my next career move. I love going to Braves games, out to eat with my best friends (Fellini’s Pizza can’t be beat), and seeing the latest movies. I talk about Disney and TV shows (Friends, The Office, The Crown, Game of Thrones) a little too much.
